Singaporessa ei tarvitse myöskään olla nälkäinen: satamalahtea reunustavat sadat ravintolat, jotka kilpailevat asiakkaista tarjoamalla ruokaa eri puolilta maailmaa. Singaporesta lensimme Hanoihin, mutta palasimme sinne Phnom Penhistä kuukauden kuluttua pariksi päiväksi ennen kotimatkaa Helsinkiin. Kaakkois-Aasian jälkeen Singapore tuntui entistäkin siistimmältä (kuri on ankara: esimerkiksi purukumin syöminen on kiellettyä) – ja entistäkin kalliimmalta. MATKAN JÄLKEEN
Tätä kirjoitettaessa olemme olleet kotona jo pari viikkoa. Pitkä (12 tuntia) matka Helsinkiin sujui mukavasti Finnairin suoralla lennolla ja kotiin oli hieno tulla. Olemme alkaneet toipua jetlagistä ja tottua viileään säähän, joka ensin tuntui ihan mahtavalta Kaakkois-Aasian painostavan helteen jälkeen (nyt voisi sää jo alkaa lämmetä). Aluksi kotona oleminen oli hankalaa: vaatteita ei tahtonut löytyä, pesukoneen käyttöohjekin piti kaivaa esille. Nyt olemme palanneet jo tuttuihin rutiineihin, ja voimme tarkastella matkakokemuksia hieman etäämpää.
Mitkä olisivat matkamme huippukokemukset? Mieleenpainuvin ja koskettavin kokemus oli varmasti kummityttömme Marcelinan tapaaminen Bolivian Andeilla.
